| Directions We are very pleased to advise that the venue for the 2012 Tara feis will once again be the Calwell High School Performing Arts Centre. The centre has a fully sprung Tarkette floor and tiered seating. Calwell High School is located at 111 Casey Street, Calwell ACT. There is ample free car parking available. |
If you are driving from the north, the best way to get to the venue is to drive down the Monaro Highway. For those travelling from Sydney, take
the Majura Road exit (left turn) off the Federal Highway (just after the big stone Australian Capital Territory sign). Stay to the left off the exit.
This will take you past the airport and completely bypass driving through the city. When you get to the end of Majura Road, turn right at the lights
(Fairbairn Ave) and then take the first left onto Morshead Drive. Stay on this road, Morshead Drive becomes the Monaro Highway. You will
stay on the Monaro Highway for about 15 minutes until you come to the roundabouts shown above.
Please note: There are speed cameras along the Monaro Highway.
If you are driving in the dark, please watch out for Kangaroos, especially on Majura Road.
